What is this site?
The Magic Codex is a growing collection of free web tools for students and writers: a citation generator (APA, MLA, Chicago, Harvard), a GPA calculator and planner, a word counter, and more on the way. Everything runs in your browser, everything is free, and nothing asks you to sign up.
Why it exists
Too many tool sites bury a simple job under pop-ups, sign-up walls, and clutter. The Codex is the opposite: one clear purpose per page, obvious controls, and tools that do the whole job — not a thin demo that sends you elsewhere. If a tool ever feels confusing, that's a bug: tell us below.

Privacy, in plain English
- Analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies, fingerprinting, or tracking you across the web. Nothing is sold.
- Your work stays yours: GPA courses and word-counter drafts are saved only in your own browser (local storage). We never see them.
- Citation lookup: when you look up a source from a URL, our server fetches that page's public metadata to fill the form. Nothing is stored.
- No accounts, no ads following you around.
