Big Number Calculator
Exact arithmetic on integers of any size — no floating-point, no rounding.
How to calculate with huge numbers
- Type or paste your numbers. Any length — thousands of digits are fine. Whole numbers only, optional leading minus.
- Pick an operation. Add, subtract, multiply, divide, power, factorial, or GCD.
- For division, set the decimal places. The result is truncated (cut off, not rounded) at that many places.
- Press Calculate. The exact result appears with a count of its digits.
Frequently asked questions
Why do normal calculators get big multiplications wrong?
Most calculators use 64-bit floating-point, which only stores about 15–17 significant digits. Anything longer gets rounded. This calculator uses BigInt integer arithmetic, which is exact no matter how many digits you enter.
How many digits can I enter?
There is no fixed digit limit — paste integers of any length. Factorials are capped at 5,000 and powers at an exponent of 100,000 so the page never freezes.
Can I enter decimal numbers?
No — this tool works on whole numbers only. Decimal input is rejected with a message. For division, choose how many decimal places the result should be truncated to.
How does division with decimal places work?
The calculator scales the dividend by 10^places, performs exact integer division, then places the decimal point. The result is truncated (not rounded) at the chosen number of places — for example 1 ÷ 3 at 10 places gives 0.3333333333.
What does the digit count tell me?
How many digits the exact result contains, ignoring any minus sign or decimal point. For example, 2^100 has 31 digits and 25! has 26 digits.
