The fine print, in plain language

Privacy Policy

The short version

The Magic Codex is a collection of free tools that run entirely in your browser. We don't have accounts, we don't have a database, and we don't collect your input — your citations, grades, and stories never leave your device. The only data collection on this site comes from Google's advertising, described below.

What we collect

Directly: nothing. There is no sign-up, no analytics account tracking you across the web from our side, and no server storing what you type into the tools. Some tools save your work (like timetables or quizzes) in your own browser's local storage — that data stays on your device and we never see it.

Advertising and cookies

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

Our host, Cloudflare, provides privacy-friendly web analytics that does not use cookies and does not track you across sites.

Children's privacy

Many of our tools are built for students, including young readers. Because everything runs in the browser with no accounts, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information through our contact email, write to us and we will delete it.

External links

Some pages link to outside sites (for example, book sources or lookup services). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
