How to reach any savings goal

  1. Create the goal — name it, set the target amount and the date you want it by.
  2. Read your numbers — the card shows your progress bar, what remains, and the exact amount to save per day, week, and month.
  3. Log every contribution with the "Add contribution" box — the plan recalculates instantly.
  4. Stay on pace: if you fall behind, the daily figure rises to keep the date in reach.

Frequently asked questions

How much should I save per day to reach my goal?

Divide the amount remaining by the number of days left until your target date. For example, $600 remaining with 60 days left means $10 per day. This tracker does the math for you and also shows the weekly and monthly figures.

Can I track more than one savings goal?

Yes — you can create as many goals as you like (an emergency fund, a trip, a new laptop), each with its own target amount, date, and progress bar. Every goal is saved in your browser automatically.

What happens if my target date passes before I finish?

The goal stays open and keeps your progress; the tracker simply shows that the date has passed and tells you the full remaining amount, so you can pick a new date or finish it in one go.

Where is my savings data stored?

Only in your own browser, using localStorage. Your goals and amounts are never sent to a server, so they stay private — but they will not follow you to a different device or browser.

How do I add money I saved to a goal?

Type the amount into the “Add contribution” box on that goal’s card and press Add. The saved total, progress bar, and per-day/week/month figures update instantly.
