Chore Chart Maker

Type your kids' names, list the chores, pick a week — get a clean printable chart with checkboxes for every kid, every day.

Everything stays in your browser — the form refills itself next week. Nothing is uploaded.

Fill in the form above and press Make chart — your printable charts appear here.

How to make a weekly chore chart

A good chore chart is visible, specific, and weekly. Visible: it hangs on the fridge, not in an app nobody opens. Specific: "tidy the living room" beats "clean up". Weekly: a fresh chart every Monday keeps the routine from going stale.

  1. List the kids, one name per line. Each child gets their own chart.
  2. List the chores, one per line. Keep each one a single concrete job.
  3. Pick the week start date. The chart runs seven days from that day; the box defaults to the most recent Monday.
  4. Press Make chart, then Print chart — the print stylesheet sends only the charts to the printer.

Tips that make charts stick

Rotate the unpopular chores weekly so nobody is always stuck with the trash. Let kids check their own boxes — the small act of checking is the reward loop. And keep the list short: five to seven chores a week beats a twenty-item list nobody finishes.

How do I choose the week?
Pick any date in the date field and the chart starts on that day, running for seven days. The date box defaults to the most recent Monday.
Can I check off chores on screen?
Yes — click any checkbox to mark a chore done for that day. The checks are for marking progress and reset when you rebuild the chart, so print the chart for a permanent copy.
How do I print only the chart?
Press the Print button (or Ctrl+P on Windows, Cmd+P on Mac). A print stylesheet hides the form, guides, and site navigation so only the chore chart goes to the printer.
How many kids and chores can I add?
As many as you like — type one name or chore per line. Each kid gets their own chart on the page, with one row per chore and one column per day.
Is my family's information sent anywhere?
No. Names, chores, and the chosen week are saved only in your own browser so the form is still filled in next week. Nothing is uploaded or shared.
Can I reuse the same chores every week?
Yes. Your kids and chores are saved in the browser, so each week you only need to change the week start date and press Make chart again.
