Frequently asked questions
What can I encode in a QR code?
Any text: website URLs, plain messages, Wi-Fi credentials, or contact details. Whatever you type is encoded directly into the pattern.
What do the size options mean?
The pixel dimensions of the downloaded PNG image: 256, 512, or 1024 pixels square. Larger sizes stay sharp when printed big.
What is error correction?
Extra data baked into the code so it still scans if part of it is damaged or covered. L survives the least damage, H the most; higher levels make the pattern denser.
Do my QR codes expire?
No. The pattern encodes your text directly, so it works indefinitely — as long as the content itself stays valid (for example, the linked page still exists).
Is my text sent to a server?
No. The code is generated entirely in your browser with a local library; nothing you type leaves the page.
